Participants Zara and Kyndall share their experience from the Golf To Paradise Tournament in conjunction with the Chubb Classic!

First Tee – Greater Washington, D.C. Participants Zara and Kyndall had the opportunity to travel to Naples, Florida to compete in the The Golf To Paradise-First Tee Champions in conjunction with the Chubb Classic. This event brings 10 teams from First Tee chapters to participate in several exciting opportunities!

The tournament consisted of scramble in the first round, better ball-four ball, and alternate shot in the third round. Over the course of the three days, Zara and Kyndall  were partnered with participants from First Tee – Chicago, First Tee – Roanoke and First Tee- Pittsburgh.  In addition to playing in the tournament, Zara and Kyndall also had a teaching clinic with Champions Tour players Thursday.

This trip was also a huge personal development opportunity for those involved. “This experience shaped me as a golfer and as an individual because I was able to connect with other kids who have different interests and still be able to get so close in such a short amount of time,” Kyndall reflected. “We were all able to shape each other’s life by just being able to have this experience together and participate in this tournament.”

In addition to playing themselves, participants had other opportunities as well including a service day at the beach and a Sunset Cruise on the Naples Princess!

“ I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to represent our chapter at the Chubb Classic, and I have so many favorite moments that it is hard to pick just one. But, I would say that making friendships with girls and boys from other chapters has made my trip unforgettable,” Zara shared.  “We were a small group of about 20, but it allowed us all to truly get to know each other in the short time we had. Moreover, I really enjoyed getting to explore the beautiful city of Naples.”

Zara and Kyndall finished 4th on Sunday. We are so proud of all their accomplishments during this trip and look forward to watching them grow as golfers.
