Hints to Navigate the New Parent Portal

First Tee – Greater Washington, DC Parents.  Our chapter will now phase into a new Parent Portal to help you navigate through the registration process. The new portal will streamline the registration process and support our age-based programs.  This uses the same foundation as before, however there are a number of enhancements made available to help you enter and exit the portal quickly and more efficiently whether you’re on a laptop, desktop or mobile device.

How do I access the Parent Portal?  The new Parent Portal link will be included in all emails moving forward and updated on the website as of May 18th.

The new Parent Portal will be the only method to access your account.  You can use our web page at www.firstteedc.org to begin.  Click on the Register My Child button, click on the Login button at the top of your screen.  From there you’ll be directed to the Programs and Events page.  You can browse a class to enroll your participant.  Choose the class, choose your participant, add the class to the cart, and then check-out to update the Primary and participants profiles with further information and then submit payment on the checkout screen.

Can I use the old method of entering my Account?

No, The old link will be inactive, please delete the old site from your favorites as it WILL NOT work.

Will I be able to use the same username and password?

Yes.  Your credentials will not change.

Can I use my spouse/significant other or relative as a Primary person on my account?

No.  There is only one Primary person on the account using one email address and password.  Duplicate accounts are prohibited.  The new system will automatically search for duplicate accounts. If a duplicate is found, we will contact you.  You can list the spouse, significant other or a relative in the Emergency Contact field.

How do I add an additional participant to my account?

While in the Programs and Events page, you’ll be able to add a participant in the same class or another class. Click on your name (Profile) and click on Add Participant on your account (Profile page).  When you’re ready to enroll the additional participant, go back to the Programs and Events page, choose a class and proceed with the guidance.

Will I still be able to apply for Financial Aid?  Are other waivers available?

Yes.  Financial Aid is still available.  Active duty military and school aged children enrolled in the federal school lunch program are eligible.
